I think there's been a fairly recent confluence of the ability to crunch lots of data at fairly low cost, venture capital investments that support new businesses in this field, and changes in what people expect. Leadership is a perennially difficult, immeasurable problem, so suddenly people are saying, “ Maybe I can measure some piece of it.” (譯註:我個人認為這段沒意思,故略。) Part of the challenge with leadership is that it's very driven by gut instinct in most cases — and even worse, everyone thinks they're really good at it. The reality is that very few people are. 答:領導統御的挑戰之一就是大多數人都「憑感覺」,而且更糟糕的是,大家都自以為自 己很會。實際上,只有極少數人有這方面的才華。 Years ago, we did a study to determine whether anyone at Google is particularly good at hiring. We looked at tens of thousands of interviews, and everyone who had done the interviews and what they scored the candidate, and how that person ultimately performed in their job. We found zero relationship. Other insights from the studies you've already done? 問:你們的[人事數據化]研究還顯示了哪些重點? A. On the hiring side, we found that brainteasers are a complete waste of time. How many golf balls can you fit into an airplane? How many gas stations in Manhattan? A complete waste of time. They don't predict anything. They serve primarily to make the interviewer feel smart. 答:在遴選及面試方面,我們發現「腦力激盪」題目完全是浪費時間。就是那些「一架飛 機裡能塞幾顆高爾夫球」、「曼哈頓有幾間加油站」之類的問題,完完全全的是在浪費時 間。這些問題[對人員未來表現]毫無預估效果,主要功能只是讓面試官可以展現自己有多 聰明而已。 Instead, what works well are structured behavioral interviews, where you have a consistent rubric for how you assess people, rather than having each interviewer just make stuff up. 有用的反而是具架構的行為式面試,也就是要有一套不變的架構來評估面試人,而不是要 面試官臨場自己編。 Behavioral interviewing also works — where you're not giving someone a hypothetical, but you're starting with a question like, “Give me an example of a time when you solved an analytically difficult problem.” The interesting thing about the behavioral interview is that when you ask somebody to speak to their own experience, and you drill into that, you get two kinds of information. One is you get to see how they actually interacted in a real-world situation, and the valuable “meta” information you get about the candidate is a sense of what they consider to be difficult. 行為式面試好用還不只這一點:你不要丟假設的問題,要丟實際的問題,例如「談談你如 何克服一個很難以分析的問題」。行為式面試有意思的部分就是,當你要求對方根據他們 的經驗來回答,然後你再挖的深一點,你就可以得到兩項資料。第一就是這人在真實情況 下如何反應,第二就是更基本的,也就是甚麼東西對這人來說算是「困難」。 On the leadership side, we've found that leadership is a more ambiguous and amorphous set of characteristics than the work we did on the attributes of good management, which are more of a checklist and actionable. 至於領導統御方面,我們發現「領導」的特質比我們所研究出來的「統御」(或管理)特質 更難以捉摸。我們研究出的統御特質有點像清單一樣,是可以依項實行的。 We found that, for leaders, it's important that people know you are consistent and fair in how you think about making decisions and that there's an element of predictability. If a leader is consistent, people on their teams experience tremendous freedom, because then they know that within certain parameters, they can do whatever they want. Other examples? 問:還有其他例子可以分享嗎? A. Twice a year, anybody who has a manager is surveyed on the manager's qualities. We call it an upward feedback survey. We collect data for everyone in the company who's a manager on how well they're doing on anywhere between 12 and 18 different factors. We then share that with the manager, and we track improvement across the whole company. If you go back to somebody and say, “Look, you're an eighth-percentile people manager at Google. This is what people say.” They might say, “Well, you know, I'm actually better than that.” And then I'll say, “That's how you feel. Because for most people, just knowing that information causes them to change their conduct. One of the applications of Big Data is giving people the facts, and getting them to understand that their own decision-making is not perfect. Some of them are very straightforward — the manager treats me with respect, the manager gives me clear goals, the manager shares information, the manager treats the entire team fairly. One of the things we've seen from all our data crunching is that G.P.A.'s are worthless as a criteria for hiring, and test scores are worthless — no correlation at all except for brand-new college grads, where there's a slight correlation. Google famously used to ask everyone for a transcript and G.P.A.'s and test scores, but we don't anymore, unless you're just a few years out of school. After two or three years, your ability to perform at Google is completely unrelated to how you performed when you were in school, because the skills you required in college are very different. You're also fundamentally a different person. People who succeed there are sort of finely trained, they're conditioned to succeed in that environment. One of my own frustrations when I was in college and grad school is that you knew the professor was looking for a specific answer. You could figure that out, but it's much more interesting to solve problems where there isn't an obvious answer. 【能源盤後】憂刺激減 油價跌

(中央社台北2013年6月20日電)美國聯邦準備理事會(Fed)主席柏南奇(Ben S. Bernanke)指出,聯準會可能今年稍後開始縮減收購債券並在2014年中期結束購債後,西德州中級原油價格下跌。

柏南奇在兩天決策會議後的新聞記者會上表示,如果經濟持續出現改善,一如聯準會所料,他們將縮減每月收購850億美元債券的刺激力道,電子盤期油價格一度下跌0.9%。

柏南奇在另項聲明中表示聯準會將維持債券收購速度,在此之前,紐約期油價格變動不大。

德州能源顧問公司Prestige Economics LLC總裁沈克(Jason Schenker)說:「這表示政策重大改變,無怪乎市場下跌。」「對市場而言,這是利空。」

紐約商品交易所7月交割西德州中級原油期貨價格收跌0.20美元至每桶98.24美元,紐約時間下午3時44分,下挫0.40美元或0.4%至98.01美元。紐約7月期油合約明天到期。

倫敦8月交割布倫特原油期貨價格下跌0.19美元,每桶收105.83美元。(譯者:中央社徐睿承)

不知道板上有購買PadFone Infinity的版友有沒有遇到過上網的問題 我女朋友使用的問題是她常常抓不到她家的無線網路 有時候抓到但有時候又突然沒訊號 我的問題跟她不一樣 因為我都是3G常駐的型態 平常使用都沒問題 而我跟我女友晚上有熱線的習慣 可是當我跟她講電話講一陣子(約30分鐘到一小時左右) 我的網路就會抓不到 就是3G訊號的格子會突然不見 變成電話是可以繼續講 但就不能上網 重開機就又可以 只是一直重開機也是一件很奇怪又麻煩的事 不知道有沒有人也有這種問題? 謝謝 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.59.33.125

HTC蝴蝶機進階出擊 電力升級「照」得住

HTC締造的「蝴蝶效應」,是挽回品牌股價的救命丹藥,而且從日本紅回台灣的熱度未減,成為一款銷售長紅的機種。HTC趁勢追擊於今(19)日在台發表進階版Butterfly s,不只電力大幅升級,並新增不少「新一」的亮點功能。同時推出經典系列新軍HTC Desire 600,「渴望」再度「飛」出佳績。

  延續HTC Butterfly的熱賣氣勢,今日HTC再度發表進階版的Butterfly s,螢幕大小保持5吋水準,採用Android 4.2及HTC Sense 5,而處理器從1.5GHz提高至1.9GHz四核心,電池容量自2,020 mAh大幅升級至3,200 mAh,電力增強58%,比新HTC One的2,300 mAh更有「凍頭」,但重量也由143公克小增至160公克。

  相較於前一代的機種,HTC Butterfly s增添不少新HTC One的亮點功能,尤其是相機採用HTC引以為傲的UltraPixel感光元件,拍照結合HTC Zoe模式,按下快門可以同步拍下前1秒與後3秒的畫面,提高成功率。同時Video Highlights提供整合製作生活微電影的效果,共有12種套用模式。

  此外,新HTC One配備的雙前置立體揚聲器,也移植至HTC Butterfly s上,使用者可以同步感受左右聲道的音場效果,內建Beats Audio還原了錄音室的音效品質。而手機也能化身為遙控器,HTC Sense TV結合手機電源鍵的紅外線遙控功能,經由幾個設置步驟,即可以遙控電視、機上盒與家庭劇院。

  HTC北亞區總經理董俊良表示,自HTC Butterfly開賣以來,市場反應熱烈,這回推出針對台灣民眾量身打造的HTC Butterfly s,提供消費者更多元化的選擇。中華電信行動通信分公司總經理林國豐指出,HTC Butterfly創下中華電信今(2013)年Android智慧型手機單機銷售量最高的記錄,新機後市可期。

  今日HTC同步推出HTC Desire經典系列的新成員,定位中階的Desire 600,螢幕大小4.5吋,搭載1.2GHz四核心處理器、Android 4.1作業系統、800萬畫素彩色相機、1GB RAM與8GB ROM儲存空間、1,860 mAh電池容量,同樣有Video Highlights生活微電影功能,但只有6種主題特效模式。

  對於再度合作推出HTC Butterfly s與HTC Desire 600,中華電信與HTC均是信心滿滿,看好銷售量表現。目前HTC Butterfly s共有灰、白、紅等3種顏色,單機售價22,900元;HTC Desire 600則是提供黑、白等2種色系,單機售價12,900元,預計自7月起,在全台中華電信與HTC經銷門市同步開賣。

求愛大作戰》男睇唔過眼 圍插港女頭敵 Vincent

真人騷掛帥的《求愛大作戰》,上週出街後率先彈出公乸難分的「綠魔」教練 Karl,其後各《求愛》男女陸續被起底,肌男 Rocky曾涉強姦、極品 Sharon私相大公開,但風頭始終唔及對港女恨之入骨的白馬王子 Vincent。
又要嚟求愛,又要鬧港女,冇品言論不單辣㷫網民,其餘《求愛大作戰》猛男亦決定幫理不幫親,群插虛有其表的 Vincent,港男之恥!

衰咗死撐

自命「英國紳士」,任職獵頭公司高層的 Vincent,因被臥底成員 Chris設 K局偷拍氹講真話,所有踩港女、彈港男的臭口論,令他由白馬王子變瘟神。為補鑊, Vincent自稱被要求做「奸角」,一切言論並非個人睇法,暗示無綫造假以圖卸膊。
據知,拍攝時一班《求愛大作戰》男聽完 Vincent的偉論後,均表現反感;其中 Rocky同 Cyrus,更嬲到當場爆粗。其實在節目出街前,編導岑應已將偷拍事件告知 Vincent,但當時有人覺得自己無問題,未有要求刪剪片段。直至上週五(十四日)內容出街,辣㷫網民, Vincent才以被迫「造假」為藉口。

聽招募中心的人說過這個問題,招募中心會統計成績,然後排序,如果前面有人放棄的話,會在報到日前通知備取人員,但個人還是建議再對智力測驗的部分加強練習啦,準備下一梯次的考是,都是背多分的題目啦,多花點時間,考高分不難

請問各位line 聊天記錄檔案太大(32MB) ,是不是就不能匯入了?
那份聊天紀錄對我來說非常重要,所以有事先備份,後來換手機想匯入聊天紀錄卻不能,他沒有顯示無法匯入,可是畫面就當在那邊不動。。。心情超級沮喪><
line有在送修的嗎@@?或者手機店有在弄這個的嗎?
我有試著用電腦打開,但他的檔案類型不被支持。。。能否有神人來救救這份聊天紀錄><

環保署強化預審 減少業者做白工

早前行政院要求加強目的事業主管機關在環評中的責任,近日環保署也公布「開發行為環境影響評估作業準則」修正草案,將加強環評預審和諮詢服務,減少業者環評過程「做白工」。

環保署官員指出,以蘇花改和桃園航空城兩案為例,兩開發單位在送環評前已和地方溝通,並送環保署先做環評預審,提早抓出問題,最後正式環評一個多月就通過了。

不過,有時環評的結果也讓業者難以接受,國內最大民營風電業者德商英華威要在桃園投資超過10億元的風電廠,昨日在環評大會直接被駁回,形同「判死」。英華威副總經理王雲怡指出,環評委員提出的風機安全距離標準和濕地法目前都未定案,若因此請業者暫緩開發,「不是現在都不用投資了。」

行政院指示加速環評拚經濟,環保署官員表示,目前正進行「環境影響評估法施行細則」修正,將強調目的事業主管機關主動角色,例如主管機關發現開發案和中央總體規劃不符,應即早傳達意見,避免環評時才被「打槍」。

不過,部分業者仍抱怨,環評委員依循法規標準不明,令業者無所適從,影響投資意願。

例如日月潭向山觀光旅館BOT案,歷經「兩年、四審、六版環評書」仍在原地踏步,開發商港資寶聲集團代表劉長泰日前就說,公司規劃都按法規處理,但委員常提出比法規更高要求,對投資者造成困擾。

劉長泰還指出,環評委員要求施工法要依「最新」法規。他質疑,若半年後要動工,法規又變,業者要變更設計,將無從估計開發成本和時間。他直言,「台灣如果一直這樣,很悲觀誰還敢來投資」。

【綜合報導】男子張志遠(58歲)昨天下午在新北市樹林區中華路與太平路路口吹哨指揮交通,胡亂指揮為引警,見警「如願」前來,立即表明自己是通緝犯,為了想吃牢飯,開心落網。

警員確認他是通緝犯後移送歸案,張男在押送過程見到人都很有禮貌的打招呼,見到記者拍照還連說:「謝謝!謝謝!」警員好氣又好笑的說:「真的很想吃牢飯。」

【綜合報導】中職史上最大咖洋將曼尼(Manny Ramirez)今天離開台灣,他說在台灣的103天中,最難忘義大犀牛隊為他舉行的辮子生日趴,讓他感覺和所有球員同心,一點也不孤單。

曼尼生日是5月30日,但當天義大是客場比賽,球團提前至5月26日慶生,還特製辮子頭套,全隊教練、球員,包括領隊楊森隆,都戴上特製的曼尼招牌辮子頭祝壽,讓曼尼度過最難忘的41歲生日。

美國生物製藥公司Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc.於20日美國股市盤後宣布,美國食品藥物管理局(FDA)已口頭通知,在實驗性C型肝炎藥物「IDX20963」進入人體測試階段前須提供更多的臨床前安全性訊息。Idenix並未說明這項藥物的臨床試驗何時才能展開。

Idenix 20日在正常盤下跌3.02%,收5.13美元;盤後暴跌25.73%至3.81美元。Idenix 21日若以3.81美元作收、將創5月15日以來新低,幾乎完全回吐今年迄今漲幅。

彭博社報導,全球約有1.7億人患有慢性C型肝炎。分析師預估相關新藥市場規模達200億美元。
